In her early working life Julia became proficient as an au pair, fruit picker, banana plant-propper and waitress, in order to fund six years of travel throughout Europe and the Middle East. Julia’s business development career built on this experience by selling excursions to tourists while working as a tour guide in Europe. Later she spent three years selling paper to the printing industry which lead to winning her first trip ‘down under’. She then moved to Capital Radio in London where she became the top selling sales person every quarter of her final year, winning so many travel vouchers that she decided to buy a one-way trip to New Zealand.
Here in New Zealand, Julia undertook sales and sales management roles before being promoted to Group Sales and Marketing Manager of the Independent Broadcasting Company, where she grew the revenue from the nationwide group, through the training and development of the sales management and their teams. Julia was then appointed General Manager of PRISM, a national sales organisation, which under her leadership generated tens of millions of dollars of advertising revenue for radio stations throughout New Zealand. Since establishing The Sales Training Company Julia has successfully trained thousands of people in sales and BD skills. She manages client projects, delivers training programmes and provides advice and support to build revenue for our client organisations.
